I start this column by saying that I was really blown away at the
confirmation that AMC will be moving to the West Coast in January.
The fact that they will be shooting there and not in NYC anymore is
not my issue. What concerns me is what cast members will a) be asked
to go b) will actually go, and c) are we going to see a
massive “killing off” of many characters who are not going to CA.
Susan Lucci was on Regis & Kelly the other day and while she
towed the corporate line by saying the move was a very positive step
from the Network, she would not say whether she will be going or
not. I have read that the actors that are being asked to relocate
have been given only a week to decide.
I also read about Thorsten Kaye and the fact that his wife, who is
on OLTL, will be staying in NYC. He stated he was not comfortable
being away from his family.
As for the show this week, I am getting a little bored with the
“Who killed Stuart” storyline. I do not see how Marian was so cool
and calm when she interrupted the court and then shot the gun, then was “so out of it” at the police station. I guess she is one
actress we will not be seeing anymore. The whole storyline has
affected so many people on AMC it is very sad.
I was also sorry to see Zack fire Rachael. Although he was going
to take care of her, I really felt bad for this woman. I have read
in the previews for next week that there is a good reason Zach said he
wants to be alone with the boys. If you have not read about what is
going to happen, I do not want to spoil it for you.
I was really liking Annie lately, but I do not care for this diva
version she has been displaying ever since she got the ring on her
finger. Speaking of rings, do we really need to hear her ring a bell
for Lucretia?
As far as the baby storyline goes, it is starting to get a bit
silly. It is like the Three Stooges. Again, I have read about what they
plan to do next but do not want to ruin anything for those of you
who do not know.
