I want to start off by saying how upset and disappointed I am in ABC’s plan to move AMC to the West Coast. Not that I care where
the show is filmed, but because I believe that despite the Network’s
“claim” that this move is due to confidence
in AMC, I think it is the beginning of the end. Many major and long
time characters will not make the move. This will be very
disappointing to long time fans like me.
There is a studio out on Long Island
(east of NYC) called Silver Cups Studio. Many shows
shot in NYC are filmed there. Kelly Ripa’s sitcom, “Hope &
Faith” was shot there just for her convenience and schedule.
I cannot believe they cannot work there as well. Secondly, NYC has
a glut of empty Real Estate in this present market. I cannot
believe the Network cannot work something out with the City to find
a new location and keep the revenue here.
Personally I think that the Network
knows that this move will further kill the fan base, therefore make
their decision to cancel the show seem like it was because of the
lack of viewers and not because of anything they have done. ABC
comes out smelling like a rose.
What does shooting in HD have to do
with the move? OLTL will be in NYC and they are going to be filmed in
HD. Personally I think the show looks fine the way it is filmed
right now and if costs are a concern, HD does not seem that
necessary at this time.
I see the beginning of the
destruction of major characters already in play, just in case they
do not make the move out West. Jesse and Zach go to
jail for the crimes they committed protecting Kendall and
Randi. Kendall eventually is free but without Zach she and Erica
go to live in France with Binks. Adam is eventually found to have
killed Stuart while on the drugs David gave him. He has a mental
breakdown and is carted off to to Oak Haven. Joe and Ruth finally retire and buy a motor home and travel the
country visiting the children and grandchildren and just enjoying
their life. We finally find out Greenlee is alive, and with Cameron
most likely making the move to LA, they are eventually reunited when
Ms. Budig decides to return to the Show again.
Loved what Zach said to Kendall. She
and Erica think they can flit between lovers and then just change
their minds, bat their eyes, and shake their tush and all is forgiven.
I want to thank you, Zach, for telling Kendall exactly
what she needed to hear. You will protect her because she is the
mother of your children but not out of love or forgiveness.
This is very simple, David, if Liza
does not want you, I do.
On Monday and Tuesday’s show was it
day or night? JR is running back and forth to the hospital to see
Marissa, and Erica and Ryan are in bed late at night.
Once again let me say I hate the
whole been there done that “Your baby is dead”
storyline. The whole thing is absurd. I did like Jake’s reaction to
Opal and Kathy finding out. Opal being the town Gossip and “Chatty
Kathy.” LOL
I have to admit while I knew David
did not have little Trevor, I never saw Randi as the one taking him.
Is she playing with a full deck or has the miscarriage and “murder”
made her lose it?
Love the obnoxious Madison. She
plays the spoiled socialite so well. I do have to say I preferred
her hair up more than down and loose. Plus the bitch factor between
her and Zach’s female Casino Manager is classic.
I am having a hard time with this
whole imposter in jail for Kendall and she is in this safe room.
Why does everyone feel so certain
that Annie killed Stuart? Of all the people there that night, she had
the least reason (or no reason) to want to kill Adam.
Also, didn’t Liza “have” the baby so
she could have another chance at motherhood and to get close again
to Colby? Seems to me Colby is nothing more than her full time
nanny. Also, everyone keeps saying to Liza what a great lawyer she
is, Isn’t this her first actual case?
I will be back with more observations and questions.
