THE NEW ORDER — Klaus (Joseph Morgan) puts a plan in motion that will give
him even more power, but even with the unwilling participation of werewolf

had planned. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) reluctantly go
along with Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) new strategy to find Stefan (Paul Wesley),

searching for any clues that might help her discover where Stefan (Paul
Wesley) is. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is also searching for Stefan, while
trying to protect Elena and keep her from doing anything that would draw
Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) attention. Meanwhile, Klaus and Stefan are busy
trailing a werewolf named Ray Sutton (guest star David Gallagher, “Super
8”). Now working at the Mystic Grill along with Matt (Zach Roerig), Jeremy

since he was brought back to life by Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) magic. Meanwhile,

WHAT THE WORLD HAS TO OFFER — Alaric (Matt Davis) finds an unexpected ally
to guide him on his dangerous new path, while Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and
Meredith (guest star Torrey Devitto) try to figure out what their next move
should be. At the school’s 1920s Decade Dance, Bonnie (Kat Graham) asks
Jamie (guest star Robert Ri’chard) to go with her and, at Caroline’s
(Candice Accola) suggestion, Elena (Nina Dobrev) asks Stefan (Paul Wesley)
to be her date. Caroline is pleasantly surprised when Tyler (Michael
Trevino) shows up at the dance determined to sweep her off her feet, but

information they need about ancient vampire bloodlines. It doesn’t take them
long to learn that Jeremy has been hanging with the wrong people. Stefan
(Paul Wesley) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) both go to brutal extremes in their
search for the missing weapon. Caroline (Candice Accola) is thrilled when
Tyler (Michael Trevino) returns to town, but Tyler soon suspects that
something has been going on between Caroline and Klaus. Matt (Zach Roerig)
has his hands full trying to keep Rebecca (Claire Holt) busy organizing the

Matt (Zach Roerig) in on the plan. After Klaus threatens someone
close to Bonnie (Kat Graham), she has no choice but to work on

surprised to learn the reason Sage has returned, and pleased when she
devises an unusual method to help him figure out what Rebekah (guest
star Claire Holt) is up to. Abby (guest star Persia White) is having
a hard time adjusting to her new reality, despite Bonnie (Kat Graham)
and Caroline´s (Candice Accola) efforts to help. When Damon informs

THE MURDER MYSTERY DEEPENS - The present-day murders in Mystic Falls
remind Damon (Ian Somerhalder) of a similar crime spree a century
earlier. In flashbacks to 1912, Damon recalls a beautiful vampire,
Sage (guest star Cassidy Freeman), who showed him a whole new way to
exist. Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) warns Damon not to get
involved in her investigation, but Damon is convinced she´s going
after the wrong suspect. Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Matt (Zach Roerig)
resort to breaking and entering in their search for evidence to prove
Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto) is a murderer. For reasons
known only to her, Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt), becomes
interested in locating one of the town´s oldest landmarks. Finally,
Elena comes to a new understanding of the path her life has taken,

arrive in Chicago, where Stefan is reunited with a vampire (guest star
Claire Holt, "Pretty Little Liars") who hasn't really moved on from her
interest in him decades earlier. In a flashback to Chicago in the 1920s,
Stefan comes face-to-face with a shocking chapter from his wild past.
After Damon (Ian Somerhalder) gets a tip on Stefan and Klaus'
whereabouts from an unexpected source, he and Elena (Nina Dobrev) follow

truth about the Lockwoods. Finally, when Katherine delivers an

come to Caroline’s defense. Matt (Zach Roerig) is completely
mystified by Caroline’s behavior, but still tries to tell her about
his feelings for her. Damon has suspicions about Tyler’s Uncle Mason
(guest star Taylor Kinney) and uses Tyler’s (Michael Trevino)
volatile personality in an attempt to get Mason to reveal his
secret. Upset with everything going on around her, Bonnie (Katerina
Graham) takes her anger out on Damon. Steven R. McQueen also stars.

Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) are suspicious when
a stranger named Jules (guest star Michaela McManus) shows up in

is frustrated at the lengths Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and her
friends have gone to in order to keep her safe. Bonnie (Katerina
Graham) and Luca (guest star Bryton James) work together on a spell,
while still keeping secrets from one another. Finally, Elijah (guest
star Daniel Gillies) makes an unexpected appearance with an offer

Lockwood cellar, where she makes a discovery that leaves them both
